PANORÁMICO

PANORÁMICO Claret 2022

A vindication of traditional Rioja wines. A wine rosé made in a traditional way in concrete tanks with 80% Viura and 20% Grenache, Panoramic style. 80% Viura and 20% Grenache, Panoramic style.

A blend of 40 year old viura grapes from the Iregua Valley, more specifically from the district of Islallana, characterized by its altitude (750m) and its ferrous clay soils on the surface, and garnacha grapes from a very old 80 year old vineyard in Albelda de Iregua in the area of La Rad, characterized by its ferrous clay soils with abundant pebbles. We have recovered one of the most popular wines of the past decades in Rioja, the claret, a rosé made through the joint fermentation of white and red grapes, and we have reinterpreted and adapted it to a refined and modern style. For its production, the grapes were pressed by gravity, obtaining only the free-run juice. After a small cleaning, it is placed in a small 7 hl concrete egg, allowing fermentation to begin spontaneously.   Subsequently, after the late Grenache is harvested, we introduce the clusters of this grape totally intact (with stems), very bright light pink color. Intense nose of white flowers, citrus and strawberries with elegant complexity. The palate is citrusy with a soft entry that opens up on the palate to reveal all its texture and the acidity that will give it a long life. Production limited to 2,997 bottles of the 2021 vintage.
