“Our villages highlight the winemaking potential of an undiscovered area in the DOCa Rioja: the Iregua Valley, just 14 km from the capital Logroño and serving as the boundary between Rioja Alta and Rioja Oriental, treasures vineyards with great potential whose grapes were lost in large cooperatives or even abandoned”.
PANORÁMICO
“A vision that travels through the panorama of vines of two related enclaves, making out in a single capture the testimony of this land. Wine that is landscape”.
In the foothills of the Iregua Valley, where the main tributary of the Ebro River flows, in the heart of La Rioja, “Panorámico Tinto” is born.
This wine is a blend of two opposing sites. “La Rad” on the left margin and “Las Yasas” on the right margin.
The first has a marked Mediterranean influence: warm, exposed; it is a Tempranillo vineyard of an average age of 30 years, with red clay soils and an altitude of 350 meters.
The second is dominated by cold weather and an altitude of almost 720 meters, with sloping vineyards of Grenache with an average age of 50 years and stony and limestone soils.
A BLEND OF TWO CONTRASTING LANDSCAPES
The combination of both landscapes, through a traditional viticulture of observation and minimal intervention in the winery, resulted in a pure creation with magical balance and lively acidity.
To conclude, the 14 months aging in 500 liters barrels (half in new barrels and half in second use barrels) liters finished refining its character, giving us a fresh, tasty and elegant wine.
FRESH WINE,
TASTY AND ELEGANT.
Bright cherry red.
Red and black fruits stand out along with fine herbaceous notes, hints of mountain, spices with a mineral touch.
The palate is fresh, savory, spicy with fine, silky tannins that give it a very elegant palate.
PANORAMICO
The vines that make up “Panorámico Blanco” are located in different plots and vineyards characterized by a good altitude (from 750 meters).
Viura vineyards and a small contribution of Malvasia, under the influence of a continental climate, give rise to wines that stand out for their great fruit character and elegant acidity.
After the harvest, the grapes go through an artisanal and manual process in the winery, with vertical pressing and skin maceration, which allows us to obtain a clean, high quality must.
Fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in oak at extremely low temperature for a long time (4 months), thus obtaining a wine capable of long aging and a surprising evolution in the bottle.
Straw yellow, bright.
Citrus, floral with notes of white fruit (pear, peach) along with spicy notes.
Silky, full, ripe and balanced, with a refreshing acidity.
PANORAMICO
A blend of 40 year old viura grapes from the Iregua Valley, more specifically from the Islallana district, characterized by its altitude (750m) and its ferrous clay soils on the surface, and garnacha grapes from an 80 year old vineyard in Albelda de Iregua in the area of La Rad, characterized by its ferrous clay soils with abundant pebbles.
We have recovered one of the most popular wines of the past decades in Rioja, claret, a rosé made from the combined fermentation of white and red grapes, and we have reinterpreted and adapted it to a refined and modern style.
For its production, the grapes were pressed by gravity, obtaining only the free-run juice. After a small cleaning, it is placed in a small 7 hl concrete egg, allowing fermentation to begin spontaneously. Subsequently, and after the late Grenache is harvested, we introduce the clusters of this grape totally intact (with stems), in an approximate quantity of 30% of the total.
Fermentation, at a very low temperature, lasted two months.
Subsequently, the wine itself was aged for 10 months in the oval with its fine lees. The final blend was made by adding a small portion of the wine that was reserved for aging in French oak barrels in order to give our Panorámico claret greater complexity and structure.
Very bright light pink.
Intense nose of white flowers, citrus and strawberries with elegant complexity.
The palate is citrusy with a soft entry that opens up on the palate to reveal all its texture and the acidity that will give it a long life.
